Bad, black Volksrod!

This is my Beetle, which I call ´Rodbug´, based on the Tamiya kit.  It has a chopped top and the doors are suicide-hinged. The rear oval window comes from a Gunze-Sangyo Beetle as well as the rear hood, which is slightly lengthened. The front axle is mainly scratchbuilt with some parts box stuff.

The Image hosted by Photobucket.comwheels and tires came from several ´oldtimer´ kits. The seats are completely scratchbuilt from different wires and plastic sheet. Both skulls,
the one on the front hood and the shifter are white metal casts, which I found on a figure swap meet. Other scratchbuilt items are also the inside of the
doors and the most of the interior. The engine is the Tamiya item with Weber carbs from the Revell Empi Imp. The exhaust is made from soldering wire and the stinger is a brush tip. The body is painted with automotive lacquer.

My inspirations came from the Stinkbug and the Rodwagen.
Sorry for the dust on the model, but you can see anything on black paint ;)
