Just a twist of lime...Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Starting with a glue-bombed AMT Streetle Beetle, I used an R-M Volkswagen convertible as a donor kit. The front and rear suspension, engine, interior, engine bay tinwork, and under hood area from the R-M kit, were all chopped, shortened or sectioned to fit the original shortened body.  The exhaust system and intake manifolds are scratchbuilt from Plastruct, with a pair of carbs from the parts box and aluminum mufflers and tips added.

I fitted an AMT 40 Ford dash, a new steering column, parts box steering wheel, a shifter from an AMT 33 Willys and a pair of seats from the Gypsy dune buggy  kit to the interior.  A moon tank sits under the hood.
The wheels are from the parts box, the tires come from R-M's 29 Ford P/U kit.
Everything got a coat of Tamiya Lime and Cream.
