Coming atcha' from the "Land of Fruits & Nuts"!

When I joined the Revell Master Modelers' Club, I was devastated to receive an airplane kit as a premium, rather than the "T-Bone Stake" kit I'd fallen in love with as pictured on the membership form.  Twenty some-odd years later, I finally got one of these little beasties partially built, and I started putting together my own version - the way I'd built it in my head hundreds of times in the intervening years.Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The fenders were immediately ditched, along with the Corvair-sourced rear suspension and drivetrain.  A Lil' Van donated it's entire rear chassis section, engine and transaxle, while a Barris T-Buggy gave up it's front suspension for the cause.  Wheels and tires from the Mysterion found a place
in the mounting pile of parts, along with the payload and rear roof section from a somewhat rare Fruit Wagon.

Fruity paint used includes Tamiya Candy Lime, Testors Citron Yellow and Go Mango, along with aImage hosted by Photobucket.com whole mess of acrylic hues to pick out the fruit details and interior surfaces.
