Blinded by pearl - it's the WHITE OUT!

This is the Mail Box trike kit. It's built pretty much box stock. After all, it's cool just the way it is. I did change the tires and rims for these tall skinny slicks with a 5 spoke style rims, then backed them with a red brake drum.

I just love flames, so I had to use the kit's flame decals and pass on the great Mail Box idea. I painted it white knowing the flames would standout nicely. I painted the interior gloss and flat black.  However I did create a SNAFU for myself. I used the black paint to try and leave a black line on the rim of the rear red window to look like weather striping but it bled through the body seam, and got under the rear flame decal and won't come off.  (I'm happy with it anyhow and it'll go on the shelf just like that.)  I also used the peace sign taillights.

Building this motor will really test a modeler's patience.  Just scraping the chrome off of the little locating pins and not  breaking them off is a feat of its own.  I drilled out the ends of the 4 exhaust pipes.  I used a Red Sharpie to highlight the top of the motor, the hand break ends and the cross on the handle bars.

These trike kits are a great addition to any collection.
